If you’re looking for a friendlier town with neighbors you’ll definitely get along with, then check out these communities. Cincinnati anyone?  The way the election seems to be going, I’m personally headed off to Paris. If I’m going to live in a socialist country, I might as well try France; it’s prettier than the United States.

Palin vs Biden: Role of the VP October 30, 2008

While Biden may appear to be the winner to the average viewer, Palin was and is without a doubt, RIGHT!

With all of the hysteria over Governor Palin’s wardrobe, her qualifications, her effect on the McCain campaign, and her transformation into a “rogue”, I thought this was a very important topic that’s been lost in all of the cacophony.  While this is a fairly old story by now, it could have served as great ammunition against Palin’s detractors who question her intelligence.  (more…)

Doomacrats vs Republigrins October 24, 2008

Lets face it folks; it’s a pretty depressing time to be a conservative/republican/right-winger.  It’s pretty obvious that John McCain is going to lose and Barack Obama and the Democrats will have almost complete control over the Executive and Legislative branches.  Socialism will be established throughout the land and capitalism and prosperity will disappear. In four years we won’t be known as the United States of America, but the Democratic People’s Republic of America.

But there is a ray of hope.  According to this wonderful article published today in the Washington Post, conservatives have much to celebrate.  This may not be a shock to many of us, but conservatives are generally happier than our liberal counterparts: (more…)

Join the movement!

I just graduated from George Mason University, Cum Laude, with a B.A. in Global Affairs and a minor in business.  I was the Treasurer for the Filipino Cultural Association, established an on campus chapter of a non-profit group called Liberty in North Korea, and I interned at the American Enterprise Institute, one of the most influential think tanks in D.C. I’m supporting McCain/Palin.  There smarty pants!

Video: Ingraham vs Hitchens October 19, 2008

Click here to watch the video.  It’s like two titans going head to head.  Both make good points, but I’m actually inclined to agree with Hitchens when it comes to Obama.  While I disagree with the Obamessiah on virtually everything, his plans for the war in Afghanistan do sound appealing.  Obama has promised to send more troops, support, and resources to that godforsaken place; something that makes me very happy given the recent increase in violence and brutality.

Yet Ingraham makes one really good point during the exchange; why trust Obama to handle a war?  Despite the fact that he has a foreign policy expert for a running mate, Obama has no military experience whatsoever.  In fact, had he gotten his way, we would have never had the troop surge that has decreased violence significantly since its implementation.  Would his judgment on Afghanistan be any different than on Iraq?  Despite all of McCain’s failings, he actually understands what it’s like to not only fight in a war, but to plan strategy and to command troops in battle.  I trust his expertise on fighting terrorist a lot more than I do Obama’s.

Yet despite that, it seems like Obama is going to be our next president.  I can only hope that Hitchens is right about him and that his judgment and his ability to learn and take direction has gotten sharper over the course of the campaign.  I’m sure the soldiers and civilians in Afghanistan hope so too.

Hero of the Month: “Joe the Plumber” October 17, 2008

We all know who he is by now, but if you’ve been living under a rock for the past week you can inform yourself here, here, and here. Thanks to Michelle Malkin, Hotair, ABC, and the BBC.  Forget Palinmania, it’s Wurzelbachermania now! The reason this guy is so important is because he perfectly symbolizes what Obama’s redistribution and socialist tax policies would do to America’s economy.  And he articulated the fundamental flaws of Obama’s plans much more effectively than McCain or Palin ever have. I still think it’s over for McCain, but at least he finally challenged the centerpiece of Obama’s campaign: the wrong assertion that McCain and Bush are one and the same.  For me, it was a little too late, and as  George Stephanopoulos stated in post debate analysis, “McCain should have said this in the first debate.” (paraphrasing) Oh well, at least last night they finally gave us a show; instead of a “who can bore us to death more effectively” contest.

If McCain were in anyway close in the polls I’d be scared about the whole Troopergate findings. But as he’s not, I’m not as worried as I should be. So anyway, enjoy the photo.

Message to Tina Fey and SNL: Don’t Hate the Player Hate the Game October 5, 2008

Ok, I’m so livid right now that I’m going to use the blog to bloviate for once, and use emotion instead of reason to comment on a certain topic.  I just saw another Tina Fey spoof of Sarah Palin on SNL.  She portrayed Palin as an idiot, which isn’t surprising since she’s done it twice before.  But really Tina, three times in a row?  The first one was generally funny, but it’s getting a little tiresome now.  Your obvious hate for Sarah is rather pathetic! I’ve never seen SNL go so out of their way to make fun of a candidate.  It’s like a tradition for them now to start off every show with a Palin joke. (more…)
